The only rule: There are no rules.
Buster is pure creativity. He does whatever it takes to get the sound in his head to come out of his monitors: stacking multiple whammy pedals, time stretching and pitchshifting DIs, editing while tracking... anything is fair game if it sounds cool.

And that’s what this course is all about: an incredibly detailed look at exactly how Buster works as he writes and records a Humanity’s Last Breath song from scratch, so you can unlock your own creativity.
Unhinged writing process
Buster's writing process breaks all the "rules:" He oftentimes starts with synth loops and writes guitar parts against those, cuts up and pitch-shifts loops on the fly to create new parts, Melodynes specific notes of chords, and more. It's the perfect example of how throwing away limitations can unlock a new level of creativity.
Crafting next level guitar tones
A huge part of Buster's guitar sounds is what happens during tracking. Before it even hits the DAW, he's already manipulated it. For example, how he chains two whammy pedals together: one for detuning, the other for his trademark high-pitched, screechy sounds.
The secret to THALL
A lot of us probably just default to using bass to double the guitars and fill in the low end. But what if it was something else? What if it was an EVENT? That's the essence of Buster's approach to "thall." Bonus: a few cool tricks like tuning the bass to the note you want to play (open string always sounds better than fretted).
Make the master bus SLAM
Buster's master bus processing takes his mixes to another level. Some compression, his trademark Saturn settings, and a very aggressive use of Pro-L in "transparent" mode and the difference is HUGE! Night and day.
